Photoshop Tutorial 4 : Stylish Logo

In this tutorial you'll learn how to make a stylish logo for your company or website.

1. Make a new blank document the size you want your logo to be. The background must be transparent. Mine will be 80x80 pixels.

2. Using the Elliptical Marque tool make the base shape. Mine will be a circle. Then using the same tool cut out some shapes from what you have. To cut something out simply press delete when you have it in the marque. If you want perfect circels hold shift when you make the shapes. Here is my final base shape:

3. Time to give it some style effect. Click the layer in the layers window. This will bring up a new window. Click "Drop shadow" and fill in these settings.

4. Now press "Bevel and Emboss" and enter these values

5. Press "Gradient Overlay" and fill in these values. Note: The gradient is white and varies from 0% to 33% in opacity with the highest opacity in the middle.

6. You should end up with something like this:
